The 'Dunkirk spirit' of WW2, firmly implanted in UK folk memory, once again came to the fore with rapid follow-up of the Community Council details. By letterbox delivery a card provided specific details of the offers of assistance by a local volunteer, with their contact telephone number. The unsung, quiet approach of the selfless volunteers once more demonstrated the close community spirit in Dornoch, of which we should be justly proud.
