Small lathe used by watchmaker Andrew Alexander Paul, Golspie. This is fixed to the front of the work bench and connected to the rear drive part of the lathe picture #1735 by the red cord belt shown in the image. The jaws are spring loaded and held in place by a lever at the side. Marked "Stephens Pat Vise Patented Apr 5.64 Mar 18.68 Oct 28.69 July 19.70". A box containing different size lathe chucks is at picture #1772
