Photocopy of Document of Indenture for David Munro and Ann Mackay
A photocopy of the Document of Indenture for David Munro and Ann Mackay who sailed on the 'Nancy' from Meikle Ferry on 17th September 1773. They were indentured for 4 years to Robert Gray, or his foresaid, the Tacksman at Creich. The 250th Anniversary of the sailing of the 'Nancy' was commemorated on 17th September 2023 at Dornoch Beach (picture #15908) with subsequent production of a video (picture #15909). Arising from a newspaper article on the commemoration and the production of the video of the event, email correspondence arose with with descendants of David Munro and Ann Mackay, culminating in their permission for Historylinks to use a photocopy of the Document of Indenture and the email exchange.
