Dornoch Burgh Ceremonial Regalia – 8th engraved shield of Chain of Office
Working anti-clockwise from the central enamelled crest, the eighth engraved shield bears the inscription ‘William Sutherland Fraser Provost 1868 - 1889.’ beneath which there is a second inscription ‘William Sutherland Provost 1889 - 1904’.
