As part of the lock-down process of providing direct access to museum archive films, Peter Wild converted family film footage to MP4 format and combined clips to provide insight to past times 'Around and About' Dornoch. This short film of 11 minutes covers families enjoying the Dornoch Beach Lido c 1960; the Canadian City of Fort William Pipe Band performing in Dornoch Square in 1967; a Drive Through Dornoch c 1960, Highland Games Day in Meadows Park in 1961; scenes of Katie & Angus Mackay haymaking in 1958 and around their Embo Street 'Croft 327' with their grandchildren; and railway 'changing of keys' for travel on a single-line rail route; Dornoch Light Railway scenes in 1958 and motor traffic at the level-crossing and travelling over the Mound c 1925.
