Throughout the lock-down there was increasing use of the internet for both business and leisure purposes. On-line conference facilities, provided by Zoom, FaceTime, Google, Microsoft Teams etc., were not only used by organisations and business to conduct ‘virtual meetings’ for employees working from home, but also quickly adopted for all groups wishing to maintain contact. The latter ranged from pilates groups to continue joint exercise sessions to family groups wishing to maintain visual contact during social isolation.

Although Historylinks Museum was unable resume its scheduled daily opening from the beginning of April, this did not curb committee activity, particularly in immediate efforts to enhance of the museum's online presence. Whilst email exchange played an important part, discussion was necessary to agree the way ahead and achieve the best possible co-ordination of effort. Zoom meetings replaced formal gathering of the Committees and this screen shot image shows members of the Museum Committee - Top left to bottom right: Tony Rundell (Treasurer), Peter Wild, Jerry Bishop (Chair DHSCIO), Heather Martin, Lynne Mahoney (Curator), Graeme Muckart; Jane Mason, Alison Davies (Chair Museum Committee).
