Document bundle of 3 pages of correspondence. A letter from Associated Scottish Newspapers Ltd to the Town Council bears the title 'Daily Record Aerial Survey' and confirms the availability of their "Dragon Moth Scottish air survey 'plane" in the district on Friday 9 June 1933. The second document is a covering letter forwarding the prospectus of Scottish Airways Limited, referring to press coverage of their proposal to make use of "'Amphibian' machines (i.e. machines capable of alighting either on land or water" and "their attention particularly towards the Highlands2. The final letter of 28 Feb 1935 from The Scottish Travel Association with the subject heading 'Provision of Airports' draws attention to the Scottish National Development Counci's Circular of 29th May 1934 urging local authorities to provide aerodromes and landing fields for aircraft.
