A musket ball which was found embedded in an oak tree at Spinningdale. From the trunk rings it was found about 30 years from the centre of the tree and calculated to be embedded for 185 years c 1832. Examination at Culloden NTS identified it as a musket ball of the early 1800's fired from a musket or pistol.
