The Home Internationals (Scotland v England v Ireland v Wales) were held at RDGC in 1980 and Dr John was Captain at that time. The shield being presented looks like it has emblems representing the four countries, so I think this is 1980 and it's an SGU official presenting Dr John with a shield to mark the Home Internationals being played at Dornoch.
