A copy of this photo is in Dr J Macleod's history of the golf club. It identifies the year as 1937 and the occasion as a visit by Bobby Locke, world famous South African multiple Open Champion (the thin man bending over his putt). He's playing with top local amateur James "Cairnie" Macrae (standing just to the right of the caddy). The caddy is Tommy Grant (byname "Tommy Foich"), late of Braemont, Argyle Street. It's the 13th green of the then main course, now the 1st of the Struie course. Comment left on 29 April 2016 at 22:16 by David MacLean
