
Hundreds weave their way to town
Article published in the Northern Times of March 21, 2014 with the title 'Hundreds weave their way to town' under a banner 'Sewing and knitting festival is boost for burgh'. With a selection of colour photographs the article covers the fifth Annual Dornoch Fibre Fest held over the weekend 15-16 March 2014 attracting "hundreds of people to the town". Stallholders from Nairn, Lochinver, Crieff and Inverness joined local groups in fabulous displays of quilting, spinning, weaving and other fibre-related crafts. Masterclasses were held over the weekend with many young folk keen to learn. The Fibre Fest was held in the Dornoch Social Club and raised £500 for the New Build Fund for the Dornoch and District Community Association.
