British Army 1939 pattern webbing waist belt less its standard brass sliders and hook and eye buckle. This belt has stamped markings its inside 'MEC 1955 L' and 'CNAA 0227' most probably referring to the maker, date of manufacture and batch number. The belt with blanco finish was commonly worn as part the parade and working uniform known as 'Battledress' from WW2 to the 1960s but its primary purpose was to serve as the base part of webbing equipment worn in the field.
