British Army skeleton webbing carrier

British Army 1939 pattern skeleton webbing carrier, with internal carrying dimensions of 200mm depth by oblong dimensions 120 x 85 mm. The skeleton carrier has a stud and button to secure the item carried with side straps ending in brass buckles. It is unlikely that such a small carrier would be used with a shoulder strap. Instead it could be used in various configurations, such as attachment to shoulder straps extending beyond the rear buckles of the waist belt. The carrier has a stamped marking '1955 SC'
