A copy of part of an article by Joyce Kay entitled 'The Wild Women: Female Violence against Male Sport' which records suffragette demonstrations when the Prime Minister, Herbert Asquith and his Home Secretary were playing golf. The first incident was in Kent but most occurred on the links of north-east Scotland near Balmoral in August 1912 and "a few weeks later" at the Royal Dornoch, "an event that was apparently kept from the press to avoid publicity".
