This summary adds to the acquistion of a newspaper article, Golf magazine article and photograph of suffragette demonstrations at the Royal Dornoch Golf Club which received publicity in the USA but scarcely a mention in the UK (see 2012.036.02 to 06) A copy of a Times Past Northern Times extract of Sept 12 1912 (2012.036.07) briefly mentions the visit to Dornoch of Mr Asquith., the Prime Minister, during which, whilst playing the first of two rounds at Dornoch Links, he "was accosted by two your ladies, suffragists, who had followed him to Dornoch."
