One of 13 photographs taken in July 1990, during construction of the Dornoch Firth bridge. The annotation on the back reads ~ General view of the servicing jetty on the south end of the bridge (Tain side). 600 sc track laying dual crane with beyond it to the left, a group of completed steel-mesh reinforced cylinders for inserting within the bridge piles to reinforce the concrete infill. On the right of the crane is the area where these cylinders were fabricated. Far left of the jetty is the 7 foot diameter test pile and right foreground a row of cement hods and the general scrap yard. The cabins to the right are offices and men cabins.
