One of a series of 30 photographs, taken on 30th May 1990, during the construction of the Dornoch Firth bridge. The annotation on the back reads ~ One of the steel mesh cylinders lying on shore. These were floated out on a dumb barge for the second floating crane unit where they were inserted in the pile jacket to reinforce the cement pumped in under pressure.
