Lock from the rear gate of the Castle Hotel in Meadows Road, Dornoch. Thick roughly rectangular wooden block, heavily worn and split with rebate for lock mechanism and iron fitting recessed in. Separate iron bolt right through at one side. Broken circular hole at one edge of rebated section shows wear from turning handle.
