Typescript of book on Sutherland, Chapter 6
Typescript notes for a book about Sutherland by Miss Lyon, with handwritten additions and amendments. Incorporates many of the previously catalogued articles and notes. Chapter 6 covers the Gordon Earls of Sutherland. There are two versions, one tied together with a loose sheet clipped in (39 sheets altogether), one sewn with several loose sheets (21 sheets altogether), a bundle of handwritten notes tied together (14 sheets), a bundle of loose notes on the Mackays (17 sheets), and 16 loose sheets of other notes. Originally in brown paper cover (thrown away).
The notes are on flimsy paper, with those sewn together using fine thread. With the extent of this document bundle and the flimsy nature of the paper, with risks of handling damage, these notes have not been scanned to provide a pdf copy.
