George Sutherland of Riarchar
Booklet entitled "George Sutherland of Riarchar, the last of the Tacksmen" by Elizabeth R. Mackay and Jocelyn Joyce, illustrations by Kenneth Taylor. Small paperback with bright blue covers and above title in brown lettering with a brown and white line drawing of a soldier in tartan with a decorative border. Pages are bound with two metal staples which are just showing signs of rusting. spine is slightly worn and the covers are partly creased. Inside cover is stained. There is an inscription on first page in black biro of "Grant St Gilberts Dornoch". The book has been research by Jocelyn Joyce and Elizabeth Mackay who are responsible for a large collection of archaeology photographs donated to the Heritage Society.
