Genealogical History of the Earldom of Sutherland
Leather-bound book entitled "Genealogical History of the Earldom of Sutherland from its origin to the year 1630" by Sir Robert Gordon, continued to 1651, published by Archibald Constable & Co., Edinburgh, 1813. Index, plates There are lines of gold decoration also along the edge of the covers. Spine has bands of tooled lines and a dark red box with "SUTHERLAND PEERAGE" in gold lettering. Covers and spine worn along edges/corners and there are many scratches present. Inside covers is a "paisley" like pattern which is also repeated on the edges of the pages. There is a gold sticker with "Ex libris Wright Rinnes The Pillars Dornoch" on inside cover. Printer is George Ramsey and Co. The pages are a little discoloured with age. 2001_313_002 is stored inside.
