Colour cartoon postcard from the Basil Hellier collection showing the head of a cockerel with the inscription 'Why We Crow About Dornoch' and the artist's name, Lawson Wood. A flap at the foot of the picture reveals a concertina of twelve monochrome photographs of Dornoch from the cathedral tower, the Castle from the tower, Castle Street, High Street, Dornoch Castle, the Cathedral, Skibo Castle, Dunrobin Castle, the "Golf Pavilion" (club house) Dornoch hotel, Sutherland Arms and on the beach. There is a number 1547 at bottom right of the card. It is unused and the reverse contains detail indicating it is part of a Mail Novelty collection
