The article is a continuation of the account of the regiment at Balaclava. It starts with the return of the 93rd from the Crimea on 15 July 1856 and its inspection the next day by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. It continues with an account of the next important episode in the Regiment's history, its departure on 16 June 1857 for China, with redirection on arrival at Simon's Bay, Cape of Good Hope to proceed at all possible speed for Calcutta. A full account is given of the Regiment's part in quelling the Indian Mutiny, after its arrival at Fort William on the Hoogly River on 20 September 1857
