Photographs of Dornoch
Seven monochrome photographs taken in and around Dornoch. The first shows the shops and Sutherland House Inn at the foot of Argyle Street which leads off the eastern end of Dornoch Square. The second (110) is a closer view of the same shops and Sutherland House; the third (111) shows Dornoch Square viewed from the Cathedral tower; fourth (112) Dornoch Square with two coaches parked under the trees that once lined this side of the square; fifth (113) a colour image of two postal vans parked outside the Post Office, the last property on the northern side of the Dornoch Square, with Argyle Street leading off uphill on the right; sixth (114) a monochrome version image 113 and seventh (114) a second copy of 109.
All images from a CD containing 125 photographs of Dornoch and the surrounding area, scanned from old photos and postcards. Photographs apparently acquired/borrowed by Barry Turner from Mrs Thompson, Castle Hotel.
