Small vice used by watchmaker Andrew Alexander Paul, Golspie. The vice is fixed to the front of the work bench. The jaws are spring loaded and held in place by a lever at the side. The vice rotates on a circular support. Marked "Stephens Pat Vise Patented Apr 5.64 Mar 18.68 Oct 28.69 July 19.70". A partially completed luckenbooth brooch made by Andrew Paul can be seen held in the vice (see picture #1749)
