Leather bound bible which belonged to Miss Jane Ross.
Inscription says ‘To Jane Ross from her friend and Pastor, J. Turner Kennedy on the occasion of her marriage, December 29th 1914’. With newspaper clippings relating to family members on the inside front cover and first page.
At the end of the bible are a Chronology of the events between the time of Cyrus (BC555) and the birth of Christ, the Psalms of David, translatuions and paraphrases in verse of several passages of sacred scripture, hymns, passages of scripture paraphrased, and a series of coloured maps of the Holy Land.
