Dornoch Burgh Ceremonial Regalia - Chain of Office
A solid gold chain of 12 shields, with a central front enamelled crest and at the corresponding back position a gold figure, designed to be upright when the chain is worn and viewed from the rear of the wearer.
Two of the 12 shields, those either side of the enamelled crest, are blank with the remainder bearing inscriptions of those holding the Office of Provost with relevant dates.
The chain is held in a leather box.
