A Miss Margaret Davidson, modern languages teacher, Dornoch Academy, went as a volunteer to work in Elsie Inglis' hospital in Royaumont, France, during the First World War. She was there 1915-1917 and after the war returned to teaching (info from " The Women of Royaumont; A Scottish Women's Hospital on the Western Front" by Eileen Crofton) Nurse Davidson's name appears on the brass roll of honour in the porch of Dornoch Cathedral. Is this the same Miss Davidson as the one in this photo? Comment left on 08 August 2010 at 21:51 by Alison T McCall
