Dornoch Fire Brigade exercise c 1970

First in a series of four colour photographs of a Dornoch Fire Brigade exercise involving a vehicle fire at the Glebe, Meadows Park Road, Dornoch.

There is a house in this location now, which is roughly north of the Dornoch Telephone Exchange. At the time of this series of photographs it was a yard and lock-up belonging to Russell MacKenzie who owned the garage and blacksmiths ‘G.A.MacKenzie’ in St Gilbert Street. This exercise probably coincided with the clear out of the lock-up prior to redevelopment.
