Extract from the Northern Times '100 Years Ago' of Friday 5th June 2020 recording that a Dornoch Light Railway made a record return run from the Mound to Dornoch. A train consisting of three carriages and 12 trucks carrying farm servants' furniture departed from the Mound at 10.34. On arrival at Dornoch the trucks were disconnected and shunted into sidings, with the train returning to the Mound by 11.32.
