This extract from the Northern Times of May 7, 1976 shows a gathering of twenty five members of the Scottish Police Federation's Joint central committee in the Burghfield Hotel, Dornoch. Constable John Jappy, Dornoch, as local Federation representative, was responsible for organising the conference. There is listing of those shown below the photograph, with John Jappy in the centre of the photograph in the standing group, ninth from the left.
