A khaki uniform accessory in a broad heart shape with two buttonholes. Thought to be for the purpose of buttoning together, at the front of the neck, the collar of an army greatcoat to raise the collar to provide improved wind protection for the wearer. It is unused which possibly indicates that it was not very practical in use.
