From the Sinclair collection, a colour photograph of two single deck buses parked at Dornoch Bus Garage. The bus on the left is an OST registered Alexander bodied AEC Reliance which entered service in 1959 and 1960. They arrived in the coach livery of cream with red window surrounds. All were later painted into bus livery and ultimately in red and blue. It bears displays of route no.17 with destination Inverness and is about to depart on the 3.55 p.m. service. The 'Kangaroo' K84 in predominantly red livery, from the first batch of 39 seat former London Transport rebuilds, was allocated to Dornoch since acquisition but by this time it was unfit for service.
