Book of 80 pp entitled 'The Estate and Castle of Skibo' by William Calder, "an illustrated account of the Lairds, Historical Associations. traditions and scenery of the famous Estate and Castle of Skibo, near Dornoch, in Sutherlandshire". The card front cover has a monochrome of Skibo Castle, which is also reproduced following page 32, with 13 additional monochrome photographs of other properties and the Sutherland scenery within the 13 chapters of the book. It was first published by the Albyn Press, 42 Frederick Street, Edinburgh in 1949 and priced, on the front cover, at 'Six shillings net'.
