1937 Coronation Pageant Decorated Lorry

From the ‘Gillespie Collection’ of monochrome prints from glass photographic plates, a photograph of a decorated lorry driving west along Castle Street. Along with springs of foliage, there are what appear to be artworks pinned to the front and sides of the lorry. There are also two large signs fixed above the cab but is is very difficult to see what is written on them as the photograph is rather blurred. There is a figure standing on the lorry behind the cab and the registration number seems to be NS1899.
