From the ‘Gillespie Collection’ of monochrome prints from glass photographic plates, a second photograph of the bustling market on Cathedral Green. Once again there is blurring of the images of people walking in the roadway indicating the slow camera shutter speed of the period. Possibly this second photograph was taken to capture the costumes of the young ladies to the left of the stall selling rabbits. Despite the large headress of the lady on the left of the group, the young girl to her left appears to have lost interest! There are Scouts gathered at the stall to the left of the tinker’s cart. Perhaps one was the blurred image on the previous photograph?
