War diary of the 5th Seaforth Highlanders 14-18
Blue hard cover book 180pp, with central, gold Seaforth Highlands cap badge on the front cover, with title 'War Diary of the Fifth Seaforth Highlanders 51st (Highland) Division' by Captain D Sutherland MC TD. The book is dedicated to "The Officers, Non Commissioned Officers and Men of the Fifth Seaforth Highlanders". At the beginning of the book there are two pages with small head and shoulders photographs and relevant details of the Officers Commanding 5th Seaforth Highalnds while mobilised 1914-1918. Throughout the book there are illustrations and there is a fold out map of Southern Belgium and Northern France a the rear. This book was the property of William Bethume whose Seaforth Highlander's dress uniform is displayed in Historylinks Museum.
