Extract from the Press and Journal of Thursday April 17, 2014 reporting photographs, a collection of original prints used by the postcard company Valentines and Sons more than a century old, came into the hands of Donald Macdonald of Orkney. His grandfather, another Donald Macdonald, station master at Tain had found the images abandoned in a carriage in the 1940's. The main picture bears the inscriptions ' Golf House Dornoch 21074 JV' believed to have been taken in the late 1800s.
