Video of a talk given by Hamish Johnston to the Dornoch Heritage Society on 21st November 2013 about Indian Regiments in Sutherland during World War 2.
The talk was originally recorded as an MP3 file and in 2024 synchronised with slides of Hamish Johnston's PowerPoint presentation to produce the video.
The inclusion of the reading of a letter from the Women's Voluntary Service (WVS) Lairg recording the sadness of the community on the departure of their resident Royal Indian Army Service Corps (RIASC) 25 Mule Company at the beginning of January 1943 is particularly poignant.
