What a lovely photograph. This man is a Havildar or Daffadar (sergeant). His spectacles suggest he might be a clerk or something similar. It looks like he's sitting in front of a radio, so this is in somebody's home. not a photographic studio. If anyone has any more information about him, I'd be very happy to hear from you, as I'm researching these soldiers at Exeter university - gb350@ex.ac.uk
