Extracts from the Northern Times 'From Our Old Files' published June 21, 2013 of reports of 75 Years Ago (June 23rd 1938). The first report is of the wedding of Miss Louise Carnegie Miller, daughter of Mr & Mrs Roswell Miller, Skibo Castle and grand-daughter of Andrew Carngie, which took place at Dornoch Cathedral. The second concerns the most generous offer by Mrs Carnegie to erect a new school at Skibo. The third report records the opening of the Royal Golf Hotel which was formerly the large mansion house known as The Grange.
