History lecturer honoured for 'making studying a pleasure'

Copy of an article, published in the Northern Times of July 19, 2013, recording the award of 'Most Engaging Online Tutor' to Dr Elizabeth Ritchie a lecturer at the University's Centre for History in Dornoch. The award, organised by the University of the Highlands and Islands Students' Association, recognises excellence in eight categories and forms part of the annual University of the Highlands teaching awards. Recording her appreciation of the award Dr Ritchie recorded her pleasure that, according to students. the aims of the Highlands and Islands online Masters programme were being achieved. Dr Ritchie became a member of the Historylinks Museum Committee in November 2012 and takes the lead in the Historylinks blog, a collaborative venture with the Centre of History UHI, launched in Jan 13.
