Extract from Northern Times of 8th. February 2013 "From Our Old Files" with a sepia photograph of Golspie Higher Grade School pupils and teacher from the early 20th. century. The caption lists those shown including Chrissie Grant from Rogart, second from right in the front row, who subsequently enjoyed a long successful career as Principal Science Teacher of Dornoch Academy. In her last session she coached two future distinguished Dornoch physicists through their Higher Sience exams: Professor Hamish Leslie who subsequently won the Gold Medal for Physics at Edinburgh University in 1963, and his classmate Dr Leonard Will. Better remembered by her pupils as Kirsty, she used to commute at weekends from Dornoch to her family home at Rogart on her veteran motorcycle LS921 registered in the early 1920s.
