Treasure Trove objects from Pitgrudy Field 4 found by metal detection and acquired by the Inverness Museum & Art Gallery. A copper alloy bookclasp of a common 17th century type with ring and dot decoration, three perforations and hatched incised decoration and attaching rivets still in place. They are found on both religious and secular sites and presumably the same style of bookclasp was used to fasten bibles as well as accounts books etc. Dim: L: 73mm W: 23 mm © Inverness Museum Inverness Museum Catalogue 2008.036.005
