Silver plated cake basket in the form of a shallow bowl with twisted swing handle and standing on a low foot. The bowl of the basket is engraved with leaf patterns (ferns) with the details of the prize in the centre: "City of Edinburgh and Midlothian Rifle Association 1883 Presented by Mr John White Won by Sergt Robert Mackay 1st Sutherland RV". Stamped EPNSL TH(?) & CO 9336 on the base.
