Amateur champions of 1922

Copy of a page from a book with a monochrome collage of Joyce Wethered and Ernest Holderness, Amateur Golf Champions of 1922. Both played much of their golf in Dornoch. Joyce Wethered, who later became Lady Heathcote-Amory, was one of the greatest lady golfers in the history of the game. She won the British Ladies' Championship four times and the English Ladies' five times. The famous American golfer Bobby Jones said that "she was the finest golfer, male or female, I ever played with". Sir Ernest Holderness won the Amateur Championship in 1922 and 1924.
