Photocopy of section on narrow gauge railways in Scotland from The Kerry Tramway and Other Timber Light Railways. Includes information on Dornoch Light Railway. 9 loose sheets. The extract refers to the despatch of the Haig 0-6-Tank Engine to Dornoch Station in November 1917 for use by the Canadian Military Forestry unit to extract timber from the Duke of Sutherland's plantations (e.g. Harriet, Duchess-Countess, Lochs, Dukes Wood and Poles plantations). The forest railway tracks were temporary and were lifted and re-used once the timber had been extracted. (see also 2009_042_01 and 02 - the latter photographs of the Tank Engine)
