Winch for operating the sluice gates at the Mound repositioned outside Historylinks Museum in 2004. Image 02 and 03 show the winch in its original position. Image 04 is a general view from the south of the sluice gates and image 05 is a view of the raising mechanism from the winch housing window. The winch was donated by Babtie Engineering and is thought to have been installed in 1834 to a design by Thomas Telford.
