Photograph, taken at the sluice gate original location, of the chain linking the winch to the mechanism to raise and lower the sluice gates at the Mound.
The following image 2011_086_04 shows a general view from the south of the sluice gates and 2011_086_005 shows the raising mechanism viewed from the winch housing window.
The winch system was thought to be installed in 1834 to a design by Thomas Telford.
