Wow, this picture looks exactly like my Aunty Peggy Margaret Munro also a grand daughter of Catherine and John Donald Munro. Family resemblance goes a long way down from generation to generation.

Margaret Munro is a Sister of my Dad John Munro. On the 1911 census their parents Donald (Danny) and Catherine Munro were with their three first born children, Thomas, Donald and George living in North street, Dornoch. This photo is Margaret Munro of 'Roseville' North Street, Dornoch. Her siblings were Thomas, Donald, George, John, Hugh, Cathel, Christina and Mary Munro. John is my Dad and their parents were Catherine and DONALD (Danny) Munro (NOT JOHN!). Catherine's maiden surname was also Munro. I am certain they only lived in 'Roseville'. This family's Uncle was Duncan Donald Munro who emigrated to Rarotonga and is the Grandfather of Don S Munro. Six of this family left North Street, Dornoch for England and Thomas emigrated to South Africa.

Catherine who was a Munro before she married and is a sister of Duncan Donald Munro. Their parents were Donald and Margaret (Peggy) Munro (maiden surname McLeod) who were living in Well Street, Dornoch in 1917 when they lost their son Hugh in the First World War. Please see 11845 on website. This Munro family names are Duncan Donald (Don's Grandpa), Findlay, Catherine (my Grandma), Margaret, Alexander, John Jack, Barbara, Annabella, Roderick, Dolina, Hugh, John Robertson and David Munro. Most of this family emigrated to Canada, Duncan Donald to Rarotonga and my Grandmother Catherine Munro stayed in Dornoch and married Donald (Danny) Munro from Embo.
